- The Egyptian Ministry of Finance has introduced a new requirement for entities involved in importing and exporting goods to register in the e-invoicing system by 1 July 2023.
- Registration must be done through the Tax Authority’s website, which is linked to the “Nafeza” portal.
- After registration, entities must obtain and include GS1 codes for goods in their e-invoices, which will be verified by the “Nafeza” portal for completion of customs declaration.
