As part of the development of the draft of the new Tax Code, the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan is discussing the issue of a phased increase in the VAT rate from 12% to 16%, Uchet.kz reports.
The proposed increase in the rate will lead to additional budget revenues, as well as increase the competitiveness of domestic goods compared to goods imported from neighboring countries. This rate is expected to be applied from 2025.
