The Court of Appeals added to the District Court’s ruling that although the magic truffles contained essential nutrients, they were exclusively consumed for a purpose other than ingesting those nutrients. Magic truffles were solely consumed for their hallucinogenic effects. Due to these effects, magic truffles could only be consumed in small quantities, making the intake of necessary nutrients negligible. As a result, magic truffles were not similar to the products with which Company X compared them.
