The Slovak Ministry of Finance has initiated consultations on draft bills aimed at implementing changes to key EU regulations that address the challenges of VAT administration in the digital age. Specifically, the draft bills focus on amending EU Regulation No. 904/2010, which concerns administrative cooperation in the VAT domain in light of digital advancements, EU Regulation No. 282/2011, which pertains to information requirements for specific VAT adjustments, and EU Directive 2006/112/EC, addressing VAT regulations tailored to the digital era.
These proposed legislative changes are part of the VAT in the Digital Age (VIDA) initiative, primarily aimed at curbing VAT fraud and improving the overall effectiveness of VAT administration in the digital landscape.
