Germany is introducing a new regulation that will affect the taxi industry. Starting January 1, 2024, taxi meters and odometers must be equipped with a technical security system (TSE). The TSE is a device that protects the digital basic records of taxi rides from unauthorized changes and deletions. The TSA also generates a QR code for each receipt for each ride, which can be scanned by the customers or the tax authorities to verify the authenticity of the records.
