Recentiy, the Dominican Executive Branch filed a Draft Law (hereinafter, the “Draft”) before the Congress, which would authorize the Dominican Tax Authority (‘DGI!”, for its Spanish acronym) to declare the ex officio prescription of certain tax debts and, simultaneously, introduce an abbreviated procedure for tax audit, while establishing payment facilities for tax debts. The Draft also provides a tax amnesty, exclusively for state entities.
