The Philippine government has been working continuously for almost two years on the long-expected project related to introducing VAT obligation on taxable sales of digital services and products from Non-Resident Digital Service Providers (DSPs)Last November, the House of Representatives, on the third and final reading, adopted House Bill No. 4122, which imposes the VAT obligation on Foreign DSPs for sales of digital services/products to consumers based in the Philippines.After being adopted by the House of Representatives, the bill has been submitted to the Senate for the next steps of mandatory legislative procedure.
