The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) in the UAE has begun accepting refund requests for Value Added Tax (VAT) incurred on operating mosques. This is in line with a Cabinet Decision that was issued in November 2022. Refund requests must be submitted through the FTA’s EmaraTax digital tax services platform.
