A new type of fiscalization in Montenegro has been in force since 2021. They switched from hardware-based to software-based fiscalization. One of the novelties was the introduction of the Self-Care EFI Portal (SEP). It is basically a self-service web portal for electronic fiscalization, and it provides taxpayers access to their fiscal information. To use this portal, the user will need a certificate from the Register of Taxpayers.
