- The Israel Tax Authority has released technical specifications for the upcoming implementation of the Centralize Clearance Model (CTC) in 2024.
- The CTC will be based on the net amount of issued invoices and will require taxpayers exceeding certain thresholds to request an “Allocation Number” via API or web portal.
- The Allocation Number must be added to the tax invoice, otherwise, it will not be valid for tax purposes.
- Purchasers can access detailed information about an invoice through the tax authority service.
- Taxpayers using manual invoice books can receive the Allocation Number through a dedicated application provided by the Tax Authority. In case of communication failure with the tax authority, taxpayers can request “emergency allocation numbers” for contingency situations.
