The Danish Tax Council confirmed that the sale of “kryptokunst” (crypto art) in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) was exempt from VAT as an artistic service. They also confirmed that the planned rental of kryptokunst for exhibitions would be VAT exempt. Additionally, these transactions were determined to be outside the scope of the payroll tax.
