- The GST portal has introduced new features and updates to improve user experience and streamline processes.
- Changes include geocoding of principal place of business, user ID generation for unregistered persons supplying to e-commerce operators, detailed reason for registration cancellation, AATO enablement, annual return filing, changes in Form GST APL-01, and updates to the amnesty scheme. Geocoding of principal place of business has been enabled for certain states and will be extended to others in due course.
- Unregistered persons supplying through e-commerce operators can now generate user ID on the portal.
- Taxpayers can now view and update AATO for the financial year 2022-23, and annual return filing has been enabled for the same year.
- Changes have been made to Form GST APL-01 to enable pre-deposit for multiple financial years.
- The amnesty scheme has been updated to nullify demand for registered persons who file returns on or before June 30th, 2023, along with applicable late fees and interest.
