Lichtenstein published the Law of 5 April 2023 on Amendments to the VAT Act in the Official Gazette on 7 June 2023, which provides for an increase in the standard VAT rate from 7.7% to 8.1% with effect from 1 January 2024. Further, the reduced VAT rate will be increased from 2.5% to 2.6% and the special VAT rate for accommodation services will be increased from 3.7% to 3.8%.
