The Spanish government has implemented VAT reductions for 2023 to address ongoing economic challenges. Basic foodstuffs, feminine hygiene products, and non-medicinal contraceptives now have reduced VAT rates. VAT on electricity and gas has also been reduced to combat inflation. These reductions will remain in place until December 31, 2023.
