Does your company import cement, electricity, fertilisers, iron, steel or aluminum into the EU? Then you should take a closer look at the “Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism” (CBAM) by now at the latest. On May 17, 2023, the regulation came into force, which stipulates the mandatory purchase of emission certificates for future imports of the above-mentioned substances from third countries.
