The Greek authorities are on the road to introducing an e-invoicing mandate to different sectors of business in the upcoming years, starting with transactions occurring between businesses and government institutions. In particular, on April 12th, 2023, a joint decision by the Ministers of Finance, Development and Investments, Digital Governance, and Transport was published (Decision No. 52445/2023), which outlined the timeline for the roll-out of the B2G invoicing mandate for economic operators in all the government sectors (with some exceptions such as contracts for national security).
