You can use the VAT exemption scheme for small businesses if the turnover subject to the normal VAT regime did not exceed EUR 25,000 in the past calendar year and you meet the other conditions. This scheme exempts you from most VAT obligations.
Do you want to make use of that scheme? If your turnover in 2022 did not exceed 25,000 euros, you will receive a letter ‘Application of the VAT exemption scheme’ during the month of May. It contains more information about the conditions and modalities of that scheme. You will find this letter in MyMinfin : you log in and click on ‘My documents’.
Do you meet the conditions and do you want to opt for that scheme? Submit your application to change the VAT regime no later than 10 June 2023 via the application e604 > ‘Change VAT identification’ > ‘Regime’.
