A new facility is being developed for taxpayers to verify documents generated by the GST portal using auto-generated Reference Numbers (RFN). Additionally, a new feature has been introduced for State GST tax officers to generate RFNs for offline communications, which can be validated by taxpayers. The facility to verify System-generated documents using RFNs will also be available through the same link. To verify RFNs on offline communications, taxpayers can navigate to the Verify RFN option under User Services. Limited details will be provided pre-login, with greater details available post-login. This facility is only for State GST authorities, while CBIC DIN facility should be used for documents issued by Central GST officers.
