The European Union Council has approved Hungary’s request to raise its VAT exemption threshold to €71,500 (around $78,491) from the current €48,000 (approximately $52,697) until the end of 2024.
This decision was made through EU Council Decision No. COM(2023) 203, which supports the proposal put forward by the European Commission.
