As per the previous guidance, services to assign credit ratings to legal entities are taxable as credit reporting services. In order to give taxpayers time to comply with the updated policy, the Comptroller instructs taxpayers to begin collecting and remitting tax on their taxable credit rating services beginning July 1, 2023.
