The UK’s revenue and customs authority on 15 March 2023 released the details of a new Advance Valuation Rulings (AVRs) service for importers of goods into the UK. The AVR is an elective facilitation service that can be availed of by importers of goods into the UK to obtain certainty in advance as to the value of the imports for UK import duties purposes.
