In 2022, the Central Bank of Nigeria issued different guidelines to introduce electronic invoicing for cross-border transactions in the country (Circular TED/FEM/FPC/PUB/01/0010, January 21, 2022). These regulations came into effect on February 1, 2022 and are intended to achieve accuracy in the value of imported and exported items domestically.
