If advising a foreign client concerns the purchase of real estate located in the country, the question arises on the advisor’s side whether these activities should be taxed in the place where the real estate is located or in the country of the client’s registered office. The tax office decided that the transaction should be taxed in the country of the customer’s registered office using the reverse charge mechanism.
