Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has imposed a 25% General Sales Tax (GST) on the import and local supply of luxury goods starting March 8, the news sources reported. Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday issued a list of imported and locally produced goods for applying sales tax at 25 per cent. The sales tax hike includes 33 categories of goods covering 860 tariff lines, high-end mobile phones, imported food, decoration items, and other luxury goods, the Dawn newspaper reported.
