The South Korean Ministry of Finance is reportedly planning to increase the statutory interest rate on tax refunds from 1.2% to 2.9% per year. The increase is to be included as part of the enforcement decree for the tax reforms approved at the end of 2022, which is expected in mid-March 2023.
