In short, the new legislative proposal ensures that from 2024 the Real Estate Transfer Tax (RETT) concurrence exemption does not apply to the acquisition of the shares in a Real Property Entity. If this new legislation will be implemented, 10,4% RETT will be due on the acquisition of newly developed property or building land through a share deal.
