Fifty years of VAT application in Italy. The study day, organized for Friday 3 March 2023 at the Sapienza University of Rome, celebrates and evaluates the evolution and prospects of this tribute in the European context. The most established Italian scholars of the subject will analyze the state of the harmonization process, the evolution of the substantial profiles of the tax, the particularities of the procedure and of the process connected to its implementation as well as the contribution that VAT could offer to shape the entire system towards greater distributive equity.
