From 2021, the European Union is gradually implementing a new safety and security program for imported goods, based on the IT system for transferring information about shipments – Import Control System 2, known in short as “ICS2”. The ICS2 system is to be implemented in three phases, the first of which has been in operation since March 2021, and the second will come into force on March 1, 2023. This will entail additional obligations for operators and entrepreneurs, which we summarize below.
