Notaries have been practicing adding value added tax to the notarial fee for 28 years. However, since tax regulations may raise doubts, and the applicable law does not allow for VAT to be added to the notary’s remuneration, the Ombudsman, Marcin Wiącek, asks MPs and senators to take a legislative initiative to regulate this issue.
