The Irish Government has announced that agreement has been reached on new cost-of-living measures for families, businesses, and the most vulnerable. Among other things, the EUR 1.2 billion package of measures includes the extension of the following VAT rate reductions:
- the temporary reductions in VAT on gas and electricity, from 13.5% to 9%, will be extended to 31 October 2023 at an estimated cost of EU 115 million; and…
