In connection with the preliminary agreement reached on December 14, 2022 between the European Commission and the European Parliament regarding the border carbon tax (CBAM), changes were made to the draft regulation regarding the extension of the catalog of goods covered by the regulations and the date of their application. According to the current draft, the reporting provisions will apply from 1 October 2023.
