Singaporeans will receive higher cash payouts under the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Voucher scheme and Assurance Package to help offset higher inflation and cushion the impact of the increased GST rates.
The permanent GST Voucher scheme was introduced by the Government in Budget 2012 to help lower- and middle-income Singaporean households with their expenses, in particular what they pay in GST (more details here).
