The government does not seem to be taking any new measures against VAT carousel fraud for the time being. Compared to other EU countries, the Netherlands lacks relatively little VAT revenue, writes State Secretary Van Rij (Tax and Tax Administration) in response to questions about the approach to VAT carousel fraud from Member of Parliament Idsinga (VVD). According to Van Rij, the figures show that the approach of the Tax and Customs Administration and the FIOD is successful.
