In Italy, in 2023, the receipt lottery will be transforming into an instant one. It means that there will be a QR code included on the receipt, so by scanning the code with the mobile phone camera, buyers will be able to verify whether the receipt is the winning one. The verification will be done via the “Gioco Legale” app, which is the application created by the Customs and Monopolies Agency.
