On December 8, the European Commission published its long-awaited proposal called “VAT in the Digital Age” and which is known throughout Europe with the acronym ViDA that suggests so many positive things to us Spaniards.
The proposal intends to carry out one of the most ambitious and far-reaching reforms in the field of VAT in the last 30 years . Its objective is to gradually introduce a series of important changes to the Common VAT System to adapt it to new technologies, to make it easier for taxpayers to operate throughout the community with fewer administrative barriers and to get the most out of the huge amount of information generated daily in the field of the digital economy.
