More and more environmental taxes are being introduced to advance the sustainability agenda and new laws and regulations are being adopted at a rapid pace worldwide.
Although the plastic tax is not a new phenomenon, the levy is increasingly being considered in various regions and countries by governments that want to protect the environment to combat climate change and do something about waste and pollution. The plastic tax is used as a means to promote sustainability and circularity.
