The Egyptian Tax Authority has issued a release announcing that the final deadline for (all) individual entities to register in the electronic invoicing system has been extended from 15 December 2022 to 30 April 2023. It is further noted in a subsequent release that from 1 April 2023, only electronic invoices will be considered in deducting or refunding VAT and in proving costs and expenses when submitting tax returns. The 1 April 2023 cutoff date was first announced in October 2022 when the final deadline for registration was 15 December.
