General Standard VAT Rate changes per Jan 1, 2023 unless mentioned differently. This does not include VAT rate changes for specific products.
- Luxembourg
- The new VAT rates will be effective between January 1 and December 31, 2023.
- The VAT rates will change as follows:
- Standard rate – lowered from 17% to 16%
- Intermediate rate – lowered from 14% to 13%
- Reduced rate – lowered from 8% to 7%
- Mozambique
- A reduction in the standard VAT rate from 17% to 16%;
- A change in the VAT rate on educational and health services provided by private entities to the standard rate (16%); and
- The introduction of a VAT exemption for agricultural and electrical equipment imports.
- Ghana
- Standard VAT rate will be increased from 12.5% to 15%.
- Singapore
- The GST rate will be increased from 7% to 8%.
- Suriname
- Suriname will introduce 10% VAT
- Maldives
