The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration is proposing to adopt its emergency regulation (“Regulation 1684.5”) implementing California’s marketplace facilitator legislation (MFA) through California’s “regular rulemaking process,” including some changes intended to further clarify the MFA. Written comments are due by January 2, 2023, and a related public hearing may be requested.
