Finance and Economic Development Minister Mthuli has proposed to raise value-added tax (VAT) from the current 14.5 percent to 15 percent with effect from 1 January 2023.
The Budget also announces that companies seeking to claim a deduction for expenses will be required to provide a digital tax invoice as evidence.
