A VAT rate of 21% currently applies for the supply and installation of solar panels on or near a home. The House of Representatives has passed a bill to reduce this VAT rate to 0% as of January 1, 2023.
If this proposal is also adopted by the Senate, you will no longer pay VAT on the supply and installation of solar panels on or near your home from 1 January 2023.
