This depends on numerous factors and in particular on European regulation. That is why there is no specific timetable for the desired implementation of a national reporting system, according to the Federal Government’s response ( 20/4181 ) to a small question from the CDU/CSU parliamentary group ( 20/3899 ). The Federal Government intends to constructively support the deliberations at EU level and to commit itself to implementation as quickly as possible. Because this is not just about bureaucratic efficiency and digital transformation, but also about curbing tax fraud.
