Germany published the Act to temporarily lower the sales tax rate on gas deliveries via the natural gas network in the Official Gazette on 25 October 2022. The Act provides for a temporary reduction in the VAT on supplies of natural gas to 7% with effect from 1 October 2022 to 31 March 2024. The same applies for supplies of heat via a heating network.
