On 12 October 2022 the Supreme Court (Court) released its judgment in this case concerning separately disclosed optician’s charges and the attribution of discounts and whether HMRC was time barred to raise assessments. Also, whether HMRC has an implied power to refuse to accept a taxable person’s claim for payment of a VAT credit.
