On September 15, 2022, the Sejm adopted an amendment to the CIT Act, in which, inter alia, it extended the operation of the Anti-Inflation Shield until the end of 2022 and maintained VAT rates at 8% and 23% in 2023 and subsequent years, linking them with expenditure on defense. At the present stage, the Act is subject to further legislative work in the Senate.
