Belgium’s Federal Public Service-Finance extended the import VAT exemption on medical products used to fight the coronavirus pandemic from June 30, 2022, to December 31, 2022.
The exemption from import VAT takes precedence over:
- reduced 6% VAT rate for the import of hydroalcoholic gels and face masks;
- 0% for the importation of Covid-19 vaccinations and medical equipment for Covid-19 in vitro diagnostics.
