The VAT on public transport tickets must be reduced to 0 percent, advocate the Rover traveler’s association and the trade association for public transport companies OV-NL. By scrapping the sales tax, the bus and tram will remain affordable and attractive, the organizations say. According to them, mobility is a fundamental amenity and many people are now having a hard time due to the sharp rise in prices due to the energy crisis and inflation.
