Slovenia published the Law on Emergency Measures in the Field of VAT to Mitigate the Rise in Energy Prices in the Official Gazette on 31 August 202. The law provides for a temporary reduction in the VAT rate to 9.5% on the following supplies:
- Electricity;
- Natural gas;
- District heating; and
- Firewood.
The reduced VAT rate is effective from 1 September 2022 to 31 May 2023.
