The Plenary Session of Mexico’s Sixteenth Administrative Circuit Court in Guanajuato issued an opinion, published in the federal weekly legal gazette on 12 August 2022, regarding whether the offsetting of debt payments constitutes a means of payment allowing value added tax (IVA) to be considered creditable (Court Precedent PC.XVI.A. J/4 A (11a.), derived from Contradictory Court Opinion 3/2022).
