The Danish Parliament has adopted a new law on the introduction of interest supplements for corrections in the area of VAT and taxes.
Parts of the law will already come into force on 15 June 2022 and will affect companies that have wrongly not been registered for VAT and/or reported for VAT, while the effective dates for the remaining part of the law, which is linked to interest supplements for corrections of VAT and taxes, must be determined by the Minister of Taxation. We expect this to happen between October 2022 and early 2023.
